Caliente!

Hello hello,

Summer isn't over yet! There is still plenty of time for me to head to the beach :) However forget how important it is to moisturize! To keep my skin in tip top shape and to really help keep a fresh look I routinely exfoliate once a week as well as apply moisturizer day & night. With the intense heat we've been caught in here in California it is important to remember to do both.

Exfoliating helps to remove all dead skin cells and any excess dirt or oil you may have on your skin. There are two types of exfoliators, the scrubs and the chemical exfoliators. I prefer the scrubs ;)

Recently I used a Purifying Mask by PCA skin. Formulated with exotic ingredients such as algae from the Red Sea, French red clay, red wine extract and vitamins E and A, this mask will nourish rough, dull, dehydrated and stressed skin, and also help clear breakouts.

My personal favorites are:
1. Appleseed brightening exfoliant - Fresh $60 (Sephora.com)
2. Clinique exfoliant scrub - Clinique $18 (Sephora.com)

After Exfoliating I also tried some new products by a company called Amarte! Their lightweight moisturizes we great! I loved how smooth they went on and how quickly they absorbed into my skin. I used both the Aqua Cream as well as the Natural Wonder cream.

During the day I always use my Clinique Superdefense SPF lotion!

The Original Makeup Saver

Hello again friends,

I just wanted to talk about a new product I've fallen in love with. Don't you just hate how quickly makeup can fade away throughout the day? The bright purple you applied on your lids early in the morning, has simply shimmered itself away and now lacks its luster..

Well no more :) This Makeup Finishing Spray by Skindinavia will help hold your makeup in place all day long! With a few sprits of this light weightless mist "the original makeup saver" will extend your makeup wear and color cosmetics!

Its really amazing. I have used it for all my latest photoshoots! The photographers love that you don't have to be constantly re-touching models makeup during the shoot. It helps resists heat and humidity by cooling makeup surface, and has a flawless set and hold. I highly reccommend it!

Perfect Perfum

Hello everyone!

I recently made a quick trip to visit a friend at the Beverly Hills Neiman Marcus location. As soon as I walked into the store I was mystified. The classic and luxurious feel of the store has a way of uplifting your spirits. Little did I know I was about to discover the most amazing perfume ever. I made my way to where my friend was working when I pulled aside by a small dark haired woman. She said her name was "Shoe, shoe" as she pointed to her feet. I was immediately intrigued by her outgoing yet sophisticated presence.

"Ms. Shoe Shoe" began to tell me about the "most expensive perfume in the world". The perfume, created by Clive Christian.

• A floral-fruity-citrus fragrance.
• Top notes of bergamot, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, blueberry and rosemary.
• Heart notes of rose de mai, lily of the valley, jasmine, purple violet, and freesia.
• Base notes of cedarwood, sandalwood, patchouli, erogen musk, and moss.
• In a 1.6-ounce authentic green bottle, as originally created in 1872.
• Available in 2.5 ounces and 1.6 ounces.

In 1999 Clive Christian acquired the Crown Perfumery, a celebrated British perfume house established in 1872. The house acquired its name after being granted the use of the royal crown by Queen Victoria as a mark of quality and excellence. Now, inspired by history and tradition, Clive Christian creates a new level of luxury perfumes, with exotic, natural ingredients that allure both men and women. For $735 you can purchase a 50ml bottle of perfume spray in a luxe gold bottle that was awarded by Queen Victoria for its excellence and quality.

The Clive Christian perfume is so amazing I couldn't stop smelling the area "Ms. Shoe Shoe" had misted with the fragrance. She laughed and began to intrigue me more my telling me how this wonderfully fragrant perfume's main ingredient is the extract of a rare white rose that is hand picked at exactly 12:00 pm when the flower gives off the most aroma! The scent also changes and has a way of blending with your skin becoming a completely customized fragrance! That is what I'd like to call Luxury at its finest.

Celebrities who use Clive Christian:
*Katherine Heigl
*Beyonce Knowles
*Lindsay Lohan
*Eva Longoria

There's Something about Cameron

Hello my loves!

So one of my favorite actresses Cameron Diaz recently did a shoot for V Magazine. It was so edgy and raw I fell in love with the spread! Her makeup and hair made it even harder to tell her apart from the one and only Madonna. Accompanied by pin up styled tattoos Cameron nailed this look!

Her dark lips reminded me of a photo shoot I recently did for Ezra Spurrier Photography. It was a vampire editorial in which I did dark lips in deep purple, reds, and even black!

Liquid Eyeliner

Hello Beautiful People!

This is my first offical blog! I will be updating you all on my latest work, newest makeup tricks/tips, and my favorite new beauty products.

I had a project for my Beauty class today on beauty trends of Fall-Winter 2009. I did mine on the history of eyeliner! Eyeliner has been used for centuries to accent the eyes. In the past they first started with minerals like kohl that was kept in small jars and lightly smugged around the outter rim of the eye. My favorite type of eyeliner is liquid eyeliner. Yes, it takes some practice and a steady hand to use liquid eyeliners but it give the cleanest and longest lasting finish!

I have gotten caught up in the classic "cat eye" or "pin up" look when applying my eyeliner. While studying the trends forecasting books at the library I discovered that the leading beauty industries have started using double eyeliner strokes to adorn the eyes. This modern spin on the liner which used parellel lines to open up the eyes caught my attention because it was a new way to wear my liquid liner!

I wore the double liner look to class and presented my project. It may not be casual enough to wear to school but to my surprise everyone of my classmates loved it!

*My favorite liquid liners!
1.) Kat Von D Autograph Eyeliner $16 (Sephora)
2.) Urban Decay Eyeliner $18 (Sephora)
3.) Sephora Brand Long Lasting Eyeliner $10 (Sephora)
